Meet the 2019 NGen Award Selection Advisory Group
// By Jacqueline Brennan
Selecting six finalists for the NGen Leadership Award is never a small feat. Whittling down the cream of the crop from this year’s 52 outstanding applicants was no exception. Each changemaker we considered had a track record of collaborating with others, strong ideas for a better world, and many examples of success in realizing those ideas with measurable impact to show for it.
Narrowing the field requires a lot of time, care, and discretion and we were fortunate to again have an incredible slate of leaders step up to help us sort through all the resumes, essays, and recommendation letters. This year’s Selection Advisory Group was made up of 14 leaders from across the nonprofit and philanthropic community who committed a significant amount of time and consideration to review the changework and impact of our many strong applicants for the 2019 NGen Award.
