Leveraging Technology to Support Hunger Relief

Traditional food pantries are working hard to fill the needs of nearly 1 in 8 people who struggle with hunger in Chicago. But for many, the long wait times and limited hours are at odds with their hectic lives. Lakeview Pantry and the Thierer Family Foundation jointly responded by leveraging technology to create the Online Market, enabling families to order no-cost groceries online and pick them up at a convenient time.
