The Everly Collective: Sustaining Communities of Care for Marginalized Social Entrepreneurs

Focus Groups

In this session, founding director Dr. Crystallee Crain will give participants an experiential introduction to The Everly Collective, a hub for health equity and social justice innovation that closes barriers of entry to wellness and enterprise creation for low-income, BIPOC, and other marginalized community members in Flint, Michigan.

Through an interactive, tech-infused presentation, Dr. Crain will provide a real-world example of how social entrepreneurs can employ collective liberation principles in their work. The session will take participants through the story of the development of the collective and the major questions on healing, justice, and community that have been sparked by this project.

You’ll gain a deeper understanding of the role that collective liberation principles play in creative social entrepreneurship, as well as an increased capacity to lead with purpose and expand their impact.
