Alison Maha Devi Hastings is an E-RYT 200 HR, YACEP Certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor with over a decade of teaching experience. She received her 1st 200 hr certification from Kashi Atlanta Urban Yoga Ashram where she currently teaches public classes, is Coordinator of Yoga Programs and is a senior instructor in their Classical Yoga Teacher Training Program. She’s also honored to teach at City of Atlanta’s Fleet Services, The Georgia Aquarium, CNN and Turner Broadcasting, Humorology, Dad’s Garage Theatre Company and the Dekalb County Jail. She has studied closely with Darren Rhodes, the creator of yogaHour, Sam Rice, Gina Minyard, and Mukunda Stiles. She is a devout student of Swami Jaya Devi Bhagavati and Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati. She blends her sense of humor, encouraging warmth and yoga philosophy to deliver a simple yet deep and intimate practice for each student or group of students. Maha Devi is also active in the recovery community as well as the LGBTQ community. She is dedicated to teaching the transformative power of yoga and meditation, how to use it to maximize long term physical wellness and manifest peace of mind through asana and gentle breath work.
