Bio
Upon transitioning into United Way, Ashley served as the Director of Community Health & Wellness, where she managed all programs and grant portfolios for adult health initiatives ranging from nutrition access to mental and behavioral health efforts. In her current role as Vice President, Ms. Douglas has developed and leads the Southern Dallas Thrives initiative, in partnership with PepsiCo/Frito-Lay North America. This initiative takes an innovative macro-level approach to the cross-functionality of corporate and philanthropic spaces in addressing complex societal issues. Under Ms. Douglas’ leadership, through the establishment of collective impact modalities and organizational capacity building, the Southern Dallas Thrives initiative has seen large-scale success in providing targeted impact to the most vulnerable but valuable communities both regionally and nationwide.
Ashley holds Masters degrees in both Social Work and Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of work, she enjoys world travel, and has a passion for working alongside young adults in achieving their desired levels of success.
