Bio
Before joining March to the Polls as Executive Director, Camila served as a teacher in the Bronx School for Law, Government, and Justice. Her principal later became Chancellor of NYC Public Schools. When she moved to Dallas, she served as an instructional coach for a nonprofit that served school leaders across the DFW Metroplex, and eventually, became the Executive Director for an organization focused on school board leadership. Camila, a bilingual immigrant from Chile, uses her strong passion for education to drive her work at March to the Polls. Camila currently serves as Secretary for the Dallas County Elections Department Citizen Election Advisory Committee. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Master’s degree in education from Hunter College.
