Bio

Claudia Perez has over 30 years of experience in office operations and human resources in the corporate, nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. She started her career in Monterrey, Mexico as executive assistant for CYDSA, a chemicals, textiles, and packaging company. After arriving in Chicago, Claudia worked as the executive assistant for the Associate Director and Development Department at the National Museum of Mexican Art. She later joined Mujeres Latinas en Acción in 2000 and worked across multiple departments, including human services, board relations, office operations and event planning. Since 2017, Claudia has been the Grants and Operations Manager of the Healthy Communities Foundation.

Claudia has practiced the spiritual art of healing of Reiki for six years. Reiki is a form of therapy in which the practitioner channels energy through his/her hands in order to encourage healing or restore well-being on any living being.  She enjoys working with groups like Soluzion Holistica to practice Reiki and learning about other healing techniques.
