Kabir serves as Senior Director of Walmart.org, where he has led the Community Pillar since 2014.  He oversees strengthening local community through over $100 million in annual giving in a dozen philanthropic initiatives, ranging from Walmart’s global disaster response and resilience programs, to supporting 1.5 million US associates through giving and volunteerism, to localized community grants through over 4500 facilities around the US. In previous years, Kabir has also led other philanthropic areas of Walmart.org from cause marketing campaigns to employee assistance funds to scholarships.

Prior to Walmart, Kabir worked with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, where he helped raise over $2 billion. He supported both individual philanthropists and corporate philanthropic services to over 100 corporations. Internationally, he spent five years living and working in India and London, where he established nonprofit organizations focused on community development and skills based volunteerism. Kabir also worked for several years with an investment house in London, investing in US, UK and Indian markets, and helping create the emerging markets investment strategies.
