Bio

Kellie O’Connell is the CEO at Lakeview Pantry (LVP), an organization working to end hunger and poverty in Chicago by providing emergency food, social services and mental health counseling. Annually, LVP provides nutritious food to 9,000 unique people and works with 2,500 clients through social services and counseling. Kellie has led the organization through a period of dramatic growth and innovation, working to expand services to meet more of Chicago’s need.

With 20+ years in the nonprofit, government, and corporate sectors, Kellie spent the majority of her career in service to the residents of Chicago. Prior to LVP, Kellie served eight years at the Chicago Housing Authority, the nation’s third largest public housing authority, as the SVP for Strategic Planning and Public Affairs. She held various leadership roles with Operation Hope, Illinois Action for Children, and Northwestern Settlement House.

Kellie holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago.
