Kristina Gawrgy Campbell is the director of strategic communications and public relations at Independent Sector. In this role, Kristina leads strategic communications planning for the organization and manages relationships with media and other partners. In addition to her communications role, Kristina also manages the organization’s diversity, racial equity, and inclusion portfolio. Previously, Kristina served as director of communications at Parkinson’s Action Network, now part of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. She was also the communications and social media manager at Independent Sector, communications coordinator at the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and a reporter at The Gazette in Montgomery County, MD. Kristina has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University.
