As Vice President of Philanthropy, Investments & Strategic Partnerships, Kristine Michie is responsible for raising the philanthropic capital that fuels DreamSpring’s work, and developing vibrant partnerships with banks and impact investors who want to create pathways to prosperity for entrepreneurs. Kristine also leads DreamSpring’s Moonshot initiative, a national movement to mobilize $1 trillion into the hands of underserved entrepreneurs by 2030. Prior to DreamSpring, Kristine founded and ran Mission Impact Philanthropy, a philanthropic consulting firm serving clients as varied as Southern California Grantmakers, the ACLU, and the Roberts Enterprise Development Fund. Kristine is a published author, having penned Cereal for Dinner: Strategies, Shortcuts & Sanity for Moms Battling Illness, and a motivational speaker, serving as national spokesperson for General Mills/Cheerios and the American Heart Association. Kristine earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from UCLA and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. An avid runner, having completed seven marathons, Kristine lives in sunny San Diego with her husband, and has four grown kids, and two still under the roof.
