Bio
Kyra currently coordinates the Ready for 100 campaign in Chicago. Recognizing the interdisciplinary nature of climate issues, Kyra works to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new ones across the city so that Chicago’s clean energy transition will be centered upon values of solidarity, innovation and equity. Prior to joining Sierra Club, Kyra worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with the World Food Programme in Guinea as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer. She supported local staff in the data processing and program management of the nutrition assistance programs at 211 schools, 58 health centers, and other program sites across the region. In international and domestic community development roles, she has engaged groups around public health, environmental advocacy, and nutrition issues. Kyra graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Environmental Engineering.
