Bio

Mitra Gruwell is a second generation craftsperson, sewist, and upcycle fashion designer from Eugene, Oregon whose innovative designs have been featured in many national reuse and recycling conferences.  She is the lead designer and manager of the ENVIA upcycled fashion brand- a project of thrift store non-profit St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County.  She organizes an annual Earth Day Metamorphose, upcycling fashion design contest. A sought-after speaker, Mitra also teaches art-focused business workshops for The Arts and Business Alliance of Eugene (ABAE) and does mentorships and apprenticeships with local youth.
