Green Card Voices

Muhend Abakar co-authored “Green Card Youth Voices: Immigration Stories from a Fargo High School”. He shares his past experiences as an inspirational storyteller, and is an active spoken word artist from Fargo, North Dakota. His energy electrifies his recollections, and he is passionate about helping others find their inner greatness and potential. He has spoken to hundreds of college, high school, and middle school students and provides personal testimonies of stories of struggle and resiliency. Despite witnessing conflict and struggles in Sudan and the Arab Spring in Egypt, he refused to be held back, and today in America he pursues ways to give back to his community.
