Bio

Whether in the role of college professor, academic advisor, or education consultant, Tina Kruse focuses on facilitating others to reach their potential. She holds a PhD in Educational Psychology and specializes in the cognitive, social and emotional development of young adult students, as well as in enhancing community-based, experiential learning. Tina has taught in the Educational Studies department at Macalester College in St. Paul for 15 years, where she co-directs a faculty program to enhance reflection and lifelong-learning skills. Her 2019 book, Making Change: Youth social entrepreneurship as an approach to positive youth and community development , is now part of Oxford University Press’ series on “Social Justice & Community Youth Practice.” She is also consulting author of the United Nations’ 2019 World Youth Report , which promotes youth social entrepreneurship as a key vehicle towards the 2030 Agenda to reduce inequality in all forms.
