Bio

Frances Kunreuther is Co-Executive Director of the Building Movement Project which conducts research, develops resources, and creates relationships that support nonprofits, networks, and movements to create a just and equitable world. She is co-author of two books, From the Ground Up: Grassroots Organizations Making Social Change (Cornell, 2006) and Working Across Generations: Defining the Future of Nonprofit Leadership (Jossey Bass, 2009). Frances worked for five years at the Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University. Prior to that, she headed the Hetrick-Martin Institute for LBGT youth and worked in organizations providing services to communities often ignored by traditional systems. She writes and presents frequently on issues related to nonprofits, leadership, and social change.
