Bio
As a senior associate at Independent Sector, Mareeha Niaz supports a broad portfolio of initiatives and committees throughout the organization; her programmatic work encompasses ethics and accountability, racial equity, and leadership development including the American Express NGen Fellows Program and Innovate for Good Challenge. She serves on several cross-functional teams to support program design, results count, lean testing, partnerships, and engages in policy advocacy on Capitol Hill. Previously, Mareeha served for three years at the Embassy of Pakistan where she managed a department under the diplomatic wing working to meet the needs of the American-Pakistani population. You can find her in DC cooking up a storm or volunteering for causes such as increasing food security for residents, teaching youth sustainable gardening skills, supporting accessible yoga for all, and advocating for mental health resources.
