Misti O’Quinn is a community organizer and educator with a focus on environmental justice, public health and quality of life. She has worked on multiple successful campaigns to remove harmful industry from Black and Brown communities to promote health and safety. Misti is the community liaison on the first ever 3 year public health study of a Freedman community, Joppa, and particulate matter pollution exposure. In addition to working with Downwinder at Risk, Misti is the Beyond Coal campaign representative for the Texas Sierra Club and is a mother of 3. When she isn’t out in the field working with the community you can often find her cooking incredible meals for her friends and family.
